About the Event
The moon has long had an aura of mystery and magic. For centuries it has been connected with wisdom, intuition and the ebbs and flows of the tide. Join us around the fire as we channel the powerful energies of Leo and set intentions for a new lunar phase.
Why do we gather on the new moon?
The new moon is the lunar phase of new beginnings: we will be planting seeds, setting intentions and preparing ourselves for the journey towards the full moon. By raising our self-care on this day and gathering in ceremony, we amplify our belonging in the universe and call in what lights each of us up.
What energies does the Leo moon hold for us to harness?
The new moon always falls in the same sign as our sun. This new moon falls in Leo season, the sign of leadership, courage and strength (big energies to harness!). Leo is ruled by the sun and a fire element sign (summer is also fire element season). In this circle under the trees, we will return home to the heart to see what seeds we wish to plant in the cosmic fertile soil. This moon will invite us to be proud, courageous and bold in our intention setting.
We will be working with all of the elements. This land is made for this kind of work with it’s stone fire-pit, beautiful lake and ancient woodland.
The evening will include:
Seasonal tea on arrival
Opening of the circle with introductions and a guided grounding meditation
Fireside conversation about seasonal energies of the Wheel of the Year and the celestial energies of the Moon, Sun and Stars
New moon intention-setting ritual
A delicious vegetarian supper prepared over the fire
Journalling with guided prompts
A live song to close the space, with hot drink
