About the Event
The moon has long had an aura of mystery and magic. For centuries it has been connected with wisdom, intuition and the ebbs and flows of the tide. Each full moon is surrounded by legends and lore of its own, and as the year progresses through the seasonal cycles the lunar energies will change and flow, as with the tides.
The Full Moon in July is called the Buck Moon. This moon marks the time when the male deer shed their antlers, it's also known as the Thunder Moon and Hay Moon. Summer season is in full swing and this is a time of great abundance. We are in our fullest bloom now. Summer season can be very active and dynamic, this moon invites us to pause and take stock of our journey so far this year, the mountain we've climbed and using what we've learnt worked and didn't work, we can decide where we wish to go in the next phase of the year.
Full Moon’s are energetically a time for both releasing, letting go what can ‘return to the earth’ and harvesting and celebrating our achievements. Within this intimate and safe space we can celebrate each others achievements and share our losses, clearing out and releasing anything holding us back from stepping into our power and aligning to our soul purpose.
We will be working with all of the elements. This land is made for this kind of work with it’s stone fire-pit, beautiful lake and ancient woodland.
The moon illuminates shadow aspects, calling them into the light for release. She amplifies our subconscious power and ones psychic energies may increase. It’s a powerful energy to work with within the cycles of the seasons, a touching-base, a checking-in to see how we are doing on the ever-spinning wheel of our cyclical journey with nature.
The evening will include:
- Seasonal drink on arrival
- Opening of the circle with introductions
- Discussion around the seasonal energies of the Wheel of the Year and the celestial energies of the Moon.
- Guided Meditation
- Full Moon fire ritual
- A delicious seasonal, vegetarian meal prepared over the fire by Sophie
- A live song to close the space with hot drink
- And more
You will receive a Lunar ritual kit for your post-ceremony integration at home.
What to bring: An offering for the Lunar altar - this could be something from nature - flowers (of course), a crystal, branches or stones.
What to wear: Layers! Even though it’s summer, the air will get cool as the night goes on - more layers are better than not enough, also wear shoes you are comfortable walking in the woods in.
If you would like to swim in the beautiful lake (at your own risk) your are welcome to arrive a little earlier.
